We invite you to participate in an active learning meet-up organized by Learning Design and Technology (LDT). This informal meet-up features faculty who have embraced active learning spaces and have achieved remarkable success stories. Additionally, we invite all faculty members who have used, are using, and are considering using active learning spaces to share their experiences, successes, and obstacles.

During this informal meet-up, we will explore innovative teaching strategies that have proven effective in active learning environments. Key concepts may include (but are not limited to) flexible grouping, creative use of space, community building, self-directed learning, conceptual understanding, fostering a sense of belonging, and opportunities for transfer. We aim to share how access to these classes has helped us evolve our teaching to empower our students to become more engaged, independent thinkers and lifelong learners.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided. This event will be facilitated by the LDT Active Learning Fellow Matthew Street, a senior Spanish lecturer, with Alicia Lopez Operé and Rachel Geer as invited panelists.
