Fang serves as the Assistant Director of Learning Design and Technology and senior instructional designer. She leads the learning technology team, helping faculty explore and integrate learning and instructional technologies to support teaching and student learning.

Her recent work focuses on faculty and student AI literacy development and effective AI integration in higher education. She regularly consults with faculty on teaching with AI, facilitates AI literacy faculty learning communities, and leads AI tool pilot initiatives.

Previously, she worked as an Educational Technologist in the University of Virginia Library. She taught classes and workshops in the Robertson Media Center that support students’ skill development in media production and makerspace technologies. She  also consulted with faculty on designing pedagogically sound digital assignments and purposely integrated emerging technologies into classroom instruction. 

She holds an M.A. in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a M.Sc. in Communication and Information Systems from Peking University.
