Fang serves as the Assistant Director of Learning Design and Technology. Her work involves leading faculty support initiatives and facilitating the exploration and application of relevant technologies to meet course goals. Previously, she worked as an Educational Technologist in the University of Virginia Library. She taught classes and workshops in the Robertson Media Center that support students’ skill development in media production and makerspace technologies. In addition, she consulted with faculty on designing pedagogically sound digital assignments and purposely integrated emerging technologies into classroom instruction. She holds an M.Sc. in Communication and Information Systems and an M.A. in Instructional Technology and Media.
