Continuing to Develop a Scalable Technological Platform to Facilitate Group Learning Environments through Virtual Reality and 360˚ Video for ‘ANTH 5475: Multimodal Interaction’ and Beyond - VERSION 3.0

This project enables Sicoli and Bennett to continue work with a developer to expand an interactive technological platform where a class can use virtual reality headsets to simultaneously inhabit a 360° video to create an interactive VR learning space for discussions. The previous grant (2020) was successful in that we were able to ascertain our next steps; the developer has given us a quote on the price for finalizing the project. These final steps will enable remote participants to collaborate with local participants. It will also add new user interface functionality to make the process simpler for remote participants and the professor leading a demonstration.
