Designing Your Course

Instructional design (ID) is the intentional application of a process or method to produce effective teaching and learning experiences. Broadly speaking, ID involves three major steps: assessment of learning needs, selection and organization of content and activities, and assessment of learning outcomes. In practice, ID is a complex, iterative, context-sensitive process, and is highly collaborative.

At  A&S Learning Design and Technology our model incorporates instructional intentions, design of authentic tasks and activities, and preparations for productive classroom engagement. We leverage collaboration, reflection, and iterative evaluation to achieve the goals of effective teaching and learning experiences for our educational community.
