This workshop introduces the idea of alternative assessments for teaching by discussing the purpose and methods of implementing unconventional projects into a course. Particular attention will be paid to how these assessments help incorporate educational equity and inclusion into course design. Specific examples and issues of evaluation and effectiveness will also be addressed.
