Undergraduate Assisted Active Learning Approach for Large Enrollment Organic Chemistry Course
In order to address the challenges associated with a large enrollment organic chemistry course, this project is designed to promote active learning in the classroom with the goal of decreasing DFW rates among enrolled students. By hiring highly motivated successful undergraduate students to attend class and assist students during the active learning components of class, students will be able to ask questions and get real-time feedback on their work. The assisted practice during class can help students better learn and retain the material and ultimately succeed in the course.
