Emily is an instructional designer supporting faculty in integrating innovative pedagogies and learning technologies into their teaching. Before joining Learning Design & Technology, Emily was a faculty member in the Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, where she taught courses in Spanish linguistics and world language pedagogy, trained graduate student instructors, and was Director of the Spanish Language Program for over 20 years. Her teaching and research experience includes inclusive pedagogy, ePortfolio, Open Educational Resources and Open pedagogy, hybrid/online instruction, assessment, and contemplative pedagogy. She holds an M.A. and Ph.D. from Cornell University.
