Alanna is an instructional designer specifically working with STEM departments at UVA. As a part of the HHMI Driving Change project, her work focuses on DEI in the classroom and how departmental culture relates to student success. She has experience working with graduate students and faculty in a wide variety of disciplines, and is particularly interested in helping all students feel like they belong through the use of inclusive teaching methods. She holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Chemistry at Northwestern University.
