Distancing measures, masks, and remote participants joining class from off-grounds, will influence the classroom experience. Through a mix of lecture and discussion, this workshop will invite participants to envision possible changes and consider alternative instructional strategies and technologies.

Authoring Interactive Content Online with H5P
This workshop introduces instructors to H5P, a digital toolset for authoring content online, including interactive videos, presentations, quizzes, and more. Attendees will see a range of H5P content examples for the university classroom, whether fully online or not, in order to decide if the toolkit is right for their courses. For future content creators, this session will be the first step to designing, creating, and using online interactive content with H5P and UVA Collab. Everyone is welcome to attend this introductory meeting to become acquainted with the technology and its potential application in their teaching.

This session will introduce VoiceThread, a tool to foster asynchronous interaction and discussion. Especially useful for language learners, VoiceThread can function as video- or audio-based discussion boards, student presentation spaces, and much more. You will see sample applications of the tool and learn how to set it up, as well as how to access help resources.
