Students, faculty, and staff may use the resources equipment and will be able to use a variety of tools and machines on their own with some training. Room Type: Immersive / Virtual Reality, Maker Space

  • The Gilmer STEM Space is a collaborative immersive maker space, open to faculty and students at the College of Arts and Sciences. Students, faculty, and staff may use the resources equipment and will be able to use a variety of tools and machines to design courses and resources for coursework. To use the Virtual Reality Occulus Rift or Occulus Go, or the Makerbot, training will be required. To sign up for a training session gilmerstem@virginia.edu

  • The One Button Studio is a (nearly) zero barrier to entry video production studio. Users simply need to insert a USB drive, hit the record button, record themselves or their group, and then they can walk out the door with a finished video file on their drive.
