Instructional Technology Specialist - Media Studio
Jessica is an Instructional Technology Specialist in the Learning Design & Technology group. She manages the Wilson Media Studio, which includes the video production studio in Wilson 235 and the media equipment checkout in Wilson 207. Her primary duties include maintaining the Wilson Media spaces and equipment, assisting students, faculty and staff with scheduling and using the Wilson Media Studio and equipment, providing instruction on media production to Wilson Media Studio users, and collaborating with her fellow Learning Design & Technology colleagues and UVA faculty and staff on the pedagogical uses of media. Prior to joining the Learning Design & Technology group, Jessica spent 6 years working with instructional media for the Center for Instructional Technology (now Innovation Services) at James Madison University Libraries, first as a Media Specialist, and then for 2 years as Head of Media Production Services. She holds a B.A. in Media Arts & Design with a concentration in Digital Video and Cinema from James Madison University (‘11).
